Le Collège européen de Prospective territoriale a été fondé en avril 2004 à l’initiative de la Délégation interministérielle à l’Aménagement et à la Compétitivité des Territoires (Diact, ex-Datar). Il rassemble une trentaine d’acteurs territoriaux de l’Europe des Vingt-Sept, ainsi que des correspondants d’Amérique du Nord, d’Amérique du Sud, et d’Afrique.
