A new service dedicated to ’Science and Society’ in Europe has been launched
by CORDIS (The EU Commissions’ Information serrvice). For example, ethical
questions relating to biotechnology research and the involvement of women in
aeronautics research would both fall into the science and society portfolio.
The new service provides a link to the science and society work programme,
and a step-by-step guide to participating in FP6, including answers to
frequently asked questions and a list of science and society national
contact points (NCPs) . Users are also able to locate potential partners for
research projects, browse forthcoming events in the relevant field and keep
up to date on the latest science and society news.
